Metro Energy a full service private utility and energy services company located at the Brooklyn Renaissance Plaza, Brooklyn, NY serving a large, multi-use, multi-tenant, commercial real estate complex including the Brooklyn Marriott Hotel, a 32-story office tower and other tenants such as The City of New York, Empire Insurance, and Fleet Bank.  

The project provides cooling and heating and electricity-related services and ancillary energy services including supply procurement, metering, billing, 24/7 maintenance and operations. The energy plant is comprised of 2800 tons of heating/cooling capacity and 10,000 kW of high-tension level electricity services. 

Metro Energy has been in operation since 1998.  The project was sold in 2003 to National Grid (previously KeySpan Energy).
